Eco and fair fashion lovingly made in Aotearoa New Zealand. At Binks we are committed to growing with you to deliver ethical hemp silk apparel designed with intent to be enjoyed for years to come. Slow fashion is a term we take seriously. We never rush to push out collections and are proud to bring you seasonless pieces. Each garment tells a story and is inspired and named after a destination we have connected to. Every garment is created with YOU front of mind. Designed to make you feel your highest and truest self. We take pride in our honesty about our products and the relationships we have with the people we work with. We are proud to collaborate with many New Zealand owned companies. As Britt’s journey has lead her to living in the Philippines she has used this opportunity to create working relationships with local Filipino companies to source trims, fabrics and packaging. All rates are set by locals meaning there is no bartering. We are beyond happy to be contributing towards the Filipino economy.

Like many other kiwi businesses Binks the label started during lockdown. What started as a dream scribbled in a notebook, became a reality when redundancy came knocking. Passions of sewing and sustainability entwined when the lack of colour and creativity among ‘sustainable garments’ became apparent. We know that a ‘capsule’ wardrobe of shapless, boxy silhouettes is not for everyone and certainly does not represent our brand. At Binks you will find exaggerated cuts and colours, a modern twist on wardrobe staples to keep you feeling fun and fresh.

As our journey continues we explore a variety of natural fibres to determine what works best for you. We have thrived providing you with hemp, silk and linen garments. As we move forward we continue on a pre odrder basis for new garments to ensure minimal waste. We believe in circular fashion which means that the sale of a garment goes beyond business to consumer. We believe it is the designers responsibility to create with care by crafting pieces that can be circulated among society for as long as possible. Binks is a place for unique, staple garments that have a flare of creativity, catering for your personal style.
